That Gruesome Cartoon Movie Conclusion That Haunts Audiences

Among every adult-oriented cartoon movies I have personally watched, no other has lingered in my mind quite like the fear-filled finale of the viscerally violent and highly provocative film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, the Spain-based filmmaker created a dark, melancholy , often savage universe that included several minor , forlorn twinges of optimism.

While The Unicorn Wars seems like it stemmed from a drive to advance the medium further, the filmmaker explained that it was actually an effort to express a global, cross-cultural theme concerning “the shared root of each battle.”

That idea is communicated through a band of colorful pastel bears , openly based on a popular series of lovable characters.

Maturing in a community centered on warmongering and the war machine, a lot of these creatures are consumed by slaughtering unicorns, thanks to a sacred text that claims them they were once kings of the woodland, until the unicorns forced them out.

A few did not entirely accepted the indoctrination, and choose to try out drugs or mate in the forest.

In contrast to their gentle counterparts, these bright beings show genitals and clear libidos.

For a particular notably brutal, cynical bear, the character Bluey, the war with unicorns turns into a path to control — and specifically to supremacy over his gentler, kinder brother the character Tubby.

Bluey acts as a tormentor and a seeming antisocial figure , and when terror takes over his squad and takes his fellow soldiers one by one, he takes progressively power on his own behalf, via progressively violent, damaging approaches.

Meanwhile, the horned creatures are enduring their own terror, through an expanding, deadly beast in their woods.

“In the early stages, it seems like a humorous movie,” the director said. “But then it turns into a more serious and melancholic movie. And ultimately, it’s a terrifying movie.”

Unicorn Wars commences similar to one of the most whimsical movies from a renowned animator, that uncover a wicked pleasure in allowing animated figures curse, engage in violence, or engage sexually.

Then it becomes closer to a bleaker work from that director, featuring progressively explicit brutality and a noticeable connection to genuine tragedy of battle.

Ultimately, it becomes a complete extreme drama carnage.

The fear that turns the film a perfect Halloween watch kicks in well before than that description suggests.

The Unicorn Wars is one for the hardcore fans of gore, for fans of extreme cinema who wish to watch something they haven’t ever seen on-screen before, and who can handle a story that pulls unflinching brutality.

See it with the lights off without any distractions, and that ending will dig under your skin and stay with you.
